Recommendations

I have worked with Brenton over 2 years on a major Retail Finance Transformation Program. Brenton has deep expertise in the Retail Industry as well as a strong understanding of the Oracle Merchandise Operation Management (MOM) software. Brenton’s deep finance background coupled with his Retail and Oracle MOM knowledge allow him to provide valuable insights to help drive solutions for complex Retail Accounting problems. I have enjoyed working with Brenton and look forward to future opportunities to leverage Brenton’s retail expertise.

Managing Director – Deloitte Consulting; Oracle Finance Transformation

Brenton and I both arrived at 7-Eleven at the same time in Aug 2015 and worked closely on an Enterprise Project/Program changing out the 40 year old mainframe of 7-Eleven with Oracle MOM. My role as the Project/Snr Program Manager reported into Brenton as the Project Leader.

Brenton’s experience, guidance and direction had an immediate impact on an already failing project which involved challenging the status quo, the company’s strategic objectives/direction and essentially the way the company operates. Brenton strategically convinced the company to leverage a large off the shelf (ERP) package as the best final solution or outcome, and one which fosters growth, flexibility, best practices and adaptability to future digital mobility etc, for the company as a whole and the Retail Industry. Not only was Brenton able to help steer the project back on track, he also provided invaluable experience in providing answers and solutions (incl. applications) to major and common issues the project was facing. His experience of ‘having done this before multiple times’ was evident and immediately built trust amongst the team which rallied behind him to bring the project to its successes that has been achieved up to this point.

Brenton is very easy to work with and passionately strives towards encouraging a healthy, sensible and collaborative environment. He is very comfortable with collaborating with C-suite executives all the way down to the developers. In addition, Brenton’s experience in the Retail grocery franchising industry and especially on Food Offerings (presentation, layout, design, market analysis etc.) has been recognized by other departments within 7-Eleven

Terry Alberts, CA(SA)

Project/Snr Program Manager – 7-Eleven Inc.

June 20, 2018, Terry reported directly to Brenton

Brenton brings a wealth of senior leadership experience and expertise to the table, with demonstrated success in directing cross functional teams to achieve consistent company growth. Strategically strong, he provides a fresh perspective in developing (complex) business transformation strategies, with ability to concisely convey the vision and plan from the boardroom to the shop floor. A highly effective customer-focused professional, building strong relationships with external partners and popular with both colleagues and employees alike, he will be a strong asset to any company.
